Rebecca Creedy is an Australian professional athlete who specializes in surf lifesaving, swimming, and triathlon. She was born on September 10, 1983, in Redcliffe, Queensland. Creedy is a multiple Australian champion, having won gold medals at various national championships in surf lifesaving events such as Ironwoman, Board, and Ski races.
In addition to her achievements in surf lifesaving, Creedy also represented Australia in swimming at various international competitions, including the 2008 Beijing Olympics. She retired from swimming in 2010 to focus on surf lifesaving.
Throughout her career, Creedy has faced various challenges, including a serious injury in 2016 that almost ended her professional career. However, she persevered and made a successful comeback, winning her sixth national surf lifesaving title in 2018.
Outside of sports, Creedy is also a qualified paramedic and a passionate advocate for mental health awareness, having experienced her own struggles with depression and anxiety.
